HOW IT WORKS
A plan in five steps. A rhythm for life.
Bible Trip does not hand everyone the same plan. You choose what to read, the version, the time frame, the pace and the reminders, and the app balances the verses across your days.
Here is the whole journey, from the first choice to the moment you slide a reading to complete.
STEP 01 OF 05
What would you like to read?
Every plan starts with a direction. Choose one of six reading paths, and Bible Trip shapes everything else around it.
- Suggested. Say what you are going through, in your own words or from a topic, and the app gathers passages from across the Bible that speak to it.
- Chronological. Follow the events in the order they happened.
- Old Testament or New Testament. Genesis through Malachi, or Matthew through Revelation.
- One book. Stay with a single book, either the whole book or one chapter.
- Random. A fresh passage each day.
What you write for a suggested plan stays private. Nobody else sees it.
STEP 02 OF 05
Choose your Bible version
Pick the translation you read most naturally. Every passage in the plan opens in it, and you can compare other versions whenever you want to look closer.
- Several languages. Translations in English, French and more, with the app itself available in English or French.
- Works offline. Bundled translations read without a connection, so a plan never waits for a signal.
- Study translations. Choose extra versions in the menu to compare a passage side by side while you study.
See every translation we carry on the translations list.
STEP 03 OF 05
When do you want to finish?
Choose a time frame from a single day to a full year, or type your own number of days. Bible Trip spreads the verses evenly across those days, so a long chapter and a short one never feel like the same size of task.
- Nine presets. One day, three days, a week, two weeks, one, two, three or six months, or a year.
- Custom time frame. Pick your own number of days when none of the presets fit.
- Honest limits. A time frame that is too long for the passage is marked before you choose it, so every day keeps something to read.
A plain sentence sums up the plan as you go: what you will read, in how many days, in which translation.
STEP 04 OF 05
Build a rhythm that fits
Some people want one quiet sitting. Others prefer a few short moments spread through the day. Choose from one to five sessions and see roughly how many verses each sitting will hold.
- One focused reading session, or a morning and evening rhythm.
- Morning, midday and evening, or up to five brief readings across your day.
- Verses per sitting. Each option shows about how many verses you will read at a time, so the pace stays realistic.
Too many sittings for a short passage? The app says so and keeps the choice out of reach.
STEP 05 OF 05
When should we remind you?
Pick a time for each session you chose. Bible Trip sends a gentle reminder on your phone, and you can drop the whole plan into your calendar so the readings sit alongside the rest of your day.
- One reminder per session. Choose a suggested time or set a custom one.
- Add to calendar. Every daily reading is added to a calendar on your device.
- Plan calendar. Inside the app, pick any day to review what is planned for it.
Tap “Create my reading plan” and the app builds your schedule. For suggested plans it reads what you shared, searches the Scriptures, chooses passages across the Bible and orders your days. This keeps running even if you close the app.
THEN, EVERY DAY
Read. Complete. Grow.
Open the app and today’s readings are waiting. Read the passage, slide to complete, and watch the plan move forward one day at a time.
- Today’s readings. Each session shows its passage and its place in the day, such as reading 1 of 2. A little recap of your last reading helps you pick up where you left off.
- Progress you can see. Daily progress, plan progress and your reading history, day by day.
- Prayer. Prayer points drawn from the passage, or bring it to God in your own words and keep the prayers you write.
- Study. Look up a word, research a term, write notes, save studies and compare translations.
- Made for reading. Dark, Light and Paper themes, adjustable text size, and full offline access.
- More than one plan. Keep several plans, choose which one to continue, and cancel a plan whenever you need to.
